Christie Derrico

I’m an attorney, podcaster, and writer querying works in progress, with roots across New York State—from the five boroughs to Westchester’s suburbs to the wild beauty of the Adirondack Mountains.

As co-host and co-producer of The Balance Dilemma podcast, I create space for honest, layered conversations about how women navigate work, family, ambition, and identity. The show explores questions often framed as uniquely female, described by Westchester Magazine as “the paradigm between having it all and feeling crushed by the weight of it all.” Through live interviews, literary events, and the podcast, I’ve spoken with bestselling authors, founders, and thought leaders about the pressures, choices, and trade-offs behind the pursuit of balance. Each conversation challenges the idea of “having it all,” instead exploring the complexity of modern life with candor and curiosity.

My work lives at the intersection of storytelling and conversation—on stage, behind the mic, and on the page—where I’m drawn to the questions people don’t always ask out loud, and the answers that don’t come easily.

A graduate of Boston University (B.A. cum laude), Brooklyn Law School (J.D.), and Middlebury College Bread Loaf School of English (M.A. in English literature), I bring both legal and literary perspectives to my work.
